Chelsea has only lost one of its first 12 games this season to title challenger Manchester City.

When Kante collected a short pass from Reece James just inside Leicester’s half, Chelsea was already leading thanks to Antonio Rudiger’s back-header off a 14th-minute corner by Ben Chilwell.

In the 28th minute, he surged uncontested toward the penalty area as Wilfried Ndidi sought to catch up to him before turning the ball to his left foot and firing a shot into the corner, giving goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel no chance.

Pulisic sealed the victory nine minutes after entering the game as a substitute in the 62nd minute. A ball from fellow replacement Hakim Ziyech found the American attacker in the heart of the penalty box, where he took a touch before finishing on the slide through Schmeichel’s legs.

Pulisic scored his second league goal of the season, scoring against Crystal Palace on an opening day.

At King Power Stadium, Leicester was outplayed without the midfield cunning of Youri Tielemans, who is out there for a few weeks due to an injury suffered while on international duty with Belgium.
